Our brick and mortar store is located at 9600 W 133rd Ave Cedar Lake, Indiana. We are open Tuesday - Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm. Closed Sunday & Monday.
We have fresh flowers available daily, ready for you to grab and go. We also take order in person, over the phone and through the website.
The gift shop is full of contemporary gifts for anyone. There is a large selection of different gift ideas, including: candles, soaps, car fresheners, home decor, signs, local honey, tea towels, planners, journals, coffee cups, memorial items, house plants, pots for plants, and more!
We are a full service florist offering wedding florals, funeral arrangement, presentation bouquets, dance bouquets, flower subscriptions, and more. We do offer local delivery.

From Greenhouses to my own small business.
Humble Beginnings
I grew up in a small country town in Illinois, where my family owns a greenhouse. Growing up in a greenhouse environment is unlike any other. Surrounded by beauty constantly and learning to work hard at a young age. Since I was a young girl, I was always playing with flowers from the plants of my family’s greenhouse. I would arrange all sorts of bouquets for the kitchen table at home. Thus began my dream to be a florist.
My husband and I had always daydreamed about what the future could look like for our family. Spring of 2021, after a full year of a pandemic, the desire to pursue my dream in flowers was even stronger. My husband and I began slowly taking steps towards becoming a business owner. My family’s background in business was very helpful in learning how to go about this process. This new business of mine was kept on the down low until my mom was talking to me about a family friend who needed help with flowers for her daughters wedding. I took the leap and put myself out there. I was incredibly nervous, but excited at the opportunity to officially make my business public.
Watering the company
With my new business now being public, I started a deep dive into all the information I could get my hands on. Surprisingly, the greenhouse/landscape world is very different from cut flowers. My plant knowledge has definitely helped, but I have learned so much about the floral industry.
Working out of my house for the last 3 years has been key to raising my kiddos while my husband was working full time in the hospital. Numerous weddings, countless dance bouquets and many special occasion arrangements led to Sweet Pea growing faster than anticipated. In the summer of 2023, at 8 months pregnant, my husband & I found our dream location right here in Cedar Lake. The corner of Parrish & 133rd is Sweet Pea’s new home. Renovations took us from auto shop to floral shop in roughly 3 months time. My husband, Luke, is taking the leap with me to run this growing flower business full time.
